Mushrooms are mainly known to be “meat” of the vegetable kingdom, it is widely used in cuisines across world. Mushrooms are grown on mushroom farms, the popular variant of the mushroom is “Agaricus biporus”, it is grown on a control and sterilized environment. There are many other variants of mushrooms which are toxic and have harmful effects to health. Mushrooms have a variety of medicinal properties, mainly used for treating cardiovascular disorders. Mushroom when combined with the burger, it brings out an awesome combination of nutrition and heavy course meal. The mushroom burger forms an heavy appetite for sustaining a day life. The procedure stated below will help in preparing the healthy mushroom burger in a authentic style at home with taste like the restaurant.

Mushroom Burger Recipe

Ingredients
Olive oil – 4 table-spoons
onion – 1 big (finely chopped)
Garlic – 10 cloves (finely chopped)
Salt – 1 table spoon
Mushroom – 500 gms
Chili powder – 1 table- spoon
Cumin powder – 1 table-spoon
Cardamom powder- 1 table-spoon
Eggs– 2
Cheese
Bread crumbs – 2 table spoon (finely powdered) + 2 table-spoon (big grain bread crumbs)
Burger bread (bun) – 2
Tomato sauce

Method:-
1) Take a frying pan and start boiling the mushrooms after applying some salt to it.

2) Once the mushrooms starts loosing water add the onions, garlic and cumin & cardamom powder, let the water get dry slowly and mushrooms starts changing the color.

3) Once the water has dried and it has changed its color, bring out the mushrooms and chop (slice) it in small size. Keep few pieces of mushrooms aside for garnishing.

4) Put the mushrooms in a bowl and add the bread crumbs (powder + big grain), chili powder, eggs & mix well.

5) Once the mixture is made with the help of the hands give it a shape of ball for making the mushroom patty (cutlet).

6) Now place the mushroom patty (cutlet) on the pan and fry them till they are light brown in color.

7) Take the burger bread (bun) and cut it in between so as to make a base and a top of the burger.

8) Spread a layer of mayonnaise over the base of the bread (bun) and then put onions & tomato sauce over it.

9) Lay the mushroom patty (cutlet) and put a cheese slice then put the mushrooms that were kept aside previously over this and cover it with the top part of bun.

10) The burger is ready to be eaten with French fries or hot potato chips.
