Instructions
1. Fill the plastic bag with water and then tie the bag
2. Carefully pierce the water-filled bag using a sharpened pencil. It would be best to place a bowl underneath the bag.
Result: The bag keeps the water inside, though it has been pierced more than once.
Hot It Works?
Plastic bags are very elastic because of the polyethylene they are made of. When we pierce a bag with a pencil, the polyethylene wraps around the pencil and prevents the water from leaking out.
