These dogs are true protectors i had one that lived for sixteen years. The loyalty of these dogs there is no comparison. Heres a short story example bout ten years ago my family and i just was enjoying a summer weekend at home. I was working in the basement then i heard the screams of the kids outside my child was being attacked not by one but by two pitbulls that i have seen in the neighborhood, before i could even react my hundred and fifty pound black german shepard named ottis attacked both dogs then chased them. luckily there were only a few minor scrapes on my child.So anyone looking for a super hero for the family look no more.
When my all black german shepherd first came home, he look at me as if to ask “Are we going to have problems?” I told my husband I thought the dog could communicate with me. Ever since, we have been best friends. If anyone gets too close to me they are in big trouble. He is very protective. He is my best friend and he really does communicate. He is a retired NYPD Canine. Everyone is afraid of him but he is my angel. Only thing is, he absolutely loves to ride in cars and tries to get behind the wheel.
